FORMER DESTINY CHILD SINGER, MICHELLE WILLIAMS SET TO DESIGN COLLECTION FOR AFRICAN CLOTHING COMPANY
Singer Michelle Williams has
branched out into the world of fashion by designing a collection for an African
clothing company.
The former Destiny's Child star has
teamed up with bosses at Koshie O to create a range of colourful pieces for the
brand's upcoming spring/summer 2013 line.
Williams unveiled photographs of
herself modelling a figure-hugging orange dress on her Facebook.com page,
telling fans she loved the creative process.
She writes, "Here is a dress
that I designed for Koshie O. My very first design! I'm definitely going to get
into more designing soon."
Koshie O founder Nina Baksmaty has
heaped praise on Williams for bringing "authenticity and knowledge"
to her designs, which will be available for purchase next spring (13).
Williams follows in the fashionable
footsteps of her former Destiny's Child bandmate Beyonce, who launched her own
clothing label, House of Dereon, in 2004.
