Africa and African design takes centre stage at the Berlin Fashion week yesterday January 15 as part of Africa Fashion Day Berlin. The likes of Romero Bryan, Nomi by Naomi and Adama Paris graced the catwalks, showcasing the continent's creative talent to international audiences.
Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week highlight the design talents emerging from Africa with a new event featuring designers with an African, Afro-Caribbean and Afro-American background. The Africa Fashion Day Berlin 2013 is a platform to show “the wide variety of the new young, modern, high end, urban, global African fashion scene.”
Recognizing the popularity of Africa fashion in the US, Great Britain and Africa, the Africa Fashion Day is set to raise its profile in Europe and worldwide.
The event took place at the prestigious Hotel Adlon Kempinski and is part of the Berlin Fashion week.
