NIGERIAN FASHION DESIGNER MURDERED IN LONDON

ONE man has been charged with the murder of Nigerian fashion designer Shaun Akanbi following his brutal stabbing to death in north London on December 22.
In a ghastly incident just before Christmas, Akanbi was stabbed to death at his north London flat in Cedar Lodge, Exeter Road, Kilburn, on December 22. A subsequent postmortem revealed that he died from multiple stab wounds.
Highly entrepreneurial and innovative, the 26-year-old Akanbi was the founder of the Billy Boyce clothing line. He was found dead after police forced their way into his flat around 4.45pm obviously after a tip-off.
Two young men have been arrested for allegedly carrying out the act, with one of them, Achraf Jandara, 20, already charged with murder. Mr Jandara, of Laing House, Comber Grove, Camberwell, south London, was formally charged on January 5, while his accomplice has been released on bail pending further investigation.
Mr Akanbi, who was also known as Moshood Abiola, founded Billy Boyce in 2009 while studying at the London College of Fashion. Mr Jandara is due to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow to face his murder charges.
