ANOTHER RACIST FASHION SHOOT: PAKISTANI DESIGNER, AAMNA AQEEL USES BLACK AS A SLAVE IN HER NEW COLLECTION ‘BE MY SLAVE’

When is racist going to stop in the fashion world? It’s really sad seeing this kind of shoot coming out from designer who came from a background whose suffer terribly in the hand of colonialism  

In the spread, which is published in Diva magazine, a white model is seen dressed in various designs by the Pakistani designer, Aamna Aqeel while being catered to by a dark-skinned little boy who looks a lot like a slave. My assumptions can't be too far off considering the title of the story.

Since when did slavery become an appropriate marketing strategy? Am shocked as anyone who lays eyes on these images should be and thankfully am not alone.

Though, Aamna Aqeel denied any intention of racism in the story. She said her aim was to shed light on the issue of child labor. Aqueel said that the dark-skinned Baloch child was incidental. “He works in a garage and wanted some work.” 

I totally disagreed with her story and I want to believe that she achieved her goal in getting people’s attention to her new collection.
