No African Designer Made The Cut!..... Check Out Time Magazine's "All-TIME" 100 Fashion Icons List

Irish milliner Philip Treacy gets a mention on TIME magazine's glittering list of fashion icons alongside everyone from Coco Chanel to the Olsen twins.

American magazine TIME has sifted through the world's best fashion designers, photographers, models and muses to catalogue a sparkling list of the industry's most influential superstars.

Celebrating the magazine's 100 years in print, the list comprises everyone from iconic designers such as Valentino and Coco Chanel to mad pop icon Lady Gaga in a collection of the biggest names to hit style since 1923, the year the magazine was first printed.

The mostly predictable list is topped by Tunisian-born designer Azzedina Alaïa, who rubs proverbial shoulders with everyone from late designer Cristobel Balenciaga to model Kate Moss.

But there are a few surprises: relative newcomers to the industry, twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who own four successful designer brands, made the cut, as well as former creative director of Christian Dior John Galliano, despite his recent disgrace. Spanx founder and billionaire, Sara Blakely, whose fitted underwear some might struggle to see as 'iconic', also makes an unexpected appearance.

Vogue have a healthy representation on the stylists and editors list with current editor-in-chief of US Vogue Anna Wintour making an appearance, as well as her flame-haired sidekick, fashion editor Grace Coddington, whilst ex-Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld and current Vogue Italia editor, Franca Sozzani, also get a mention. British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman is nowhere to be seen.
