PART1..CHRISTIE BROWN(GHANA) Vs ITUEN BASI(NIGERIA)...WHO IS THE ORIGINATOR OF FRINGE NECKLACE?

If you haven’t heard the latest going on in town about two creative and awards winning designers; Christie Brown of Ghana and Ituen Basi of Nigeria on who’s the originator of Fringe Necklace. Probably you don’t have access to internet lately or your laptop crashed just like mine..Lol

Though, at first, i ignored the news but later look at the two designs closely. I discovered that there is something similar. I decided to follow up with the two designers but unfortunately i couldn’t bring you what you want to hear but trust me i will be back with the details.

I talk to Itue Basi on phone but the network was so poor that the communication couldn’t go well and try to reach Christie Brown as well on phone but She was in a meeting according to her assistant.

I decided to do this part1 just to hear from you the reader as what you also think about the two designs. Does the two designs really look alike? Do you think one person copy another?

 Christie Brown is a Ghanaian based luxury women's fashion brand that aims is to satisfy the stylish urge of "that modern woman who seeks a true taste of Africa".

 Christie Brown aim is to infuse modernism into carefully selected traditional African aesthetic that transcends international borders. Ituen Basi is a Lagos-based designer. She moved back to Nigeria after being based in the UK for several years. Her conceptualization of fashion is individualistic, as a result of the fusion of her exceptional sense of style in everything she creates. Her mastery of timeless, wearable and effortlessly elegant designs are second to none with a stylish combination of eclectic, whimsical and quirky appeal. She won best in creative design at Arise Magazine fashion brand awards in 2011
