DJ BLACK: BAD CHOICE AS AN AMBASSADOR FOR WOODIN BRAND

L-R Caroline, DJ Black & Ama K

My eyes and ears are wide open and ready to see and listen to any gossips around town...If you like call me “Gbeborun” “Konkosa” or “Aproko” man. I will not mind you..Lol. There is this talk all around town about DJ Black unveiling as an ambassador of Woodin on Saturday. Some says Woodin made a wrong choice chosen him as part of their ambassadors because hardly will you see him with a touch of African print. If someone is not promoting what you are producing, why would you make such a person your ambassador?
DJ Black was unveiled as an ambassador along side with awards winning actress Ama K. Abebrese, Ghanaian rapper Manifest and broadcaster Caroline Sampson on Saturday during the re-launch of the brand at Accra Mall.
Manifest
I decided to follow the gossip up to see if I can get the criteria Woodin used to choosing their ambassador. So I talk to Woodin marketing manager, Ms Georgina Mensah on phone about the issue and here is what she said
“The purpose of rebranding is to revitalize the brand, project the new image and reflect the value that we stand for. We choose people who we believe we can identify with our value. Because he doesn’t wear African print always doesn’t mean he can’t be an ambassador of a brand. He is a versatile person. He plays so many roles in terms of his career and not only Disc jockey. He is also very confidence in what he does which is good for our brand”
Let see if making him an ambassador will make him change his wardrobe. Time will tell as my lenses will be watching him.
You can have your say too...
