NIGERIAN ACE DESIGNERS; DEOLA SAGOE, ITUEN BASI, ICONIC INVANITY, JEWEL BY LISA, ODIO MIMONET & TEMPLE MUSE SUPPORT “MANDI’S CANCER AID GALA”

The Sussie Agu Osoba Breast Cancer Foundation (SAOBCF) held the inaugural Mandi’s Cancer Aid Gala yesterday at Harbour Point in Victoria Island and hosted by Ifeoma Williams and Big Brother host, IK.
The Sussie Agu Osoba Breast Cancer was founded by two-time breast cancer survivor Mandi Osoba Onakomaiya in memory of her mother, Sussie Agu Osoba who died of the disease.
The foundation is committed to battling against the rising occurrence of breast cancer in Nigeria and to the research and advocacy directed towards prevention, early diagnosis and treatment.  The foundation aims to educate people about the importance of breast self-examinations and the benefit of early detection.  The foundation also provides support for patients, survivors and their families as they cope with breast cancer.
The inaugural annual Mandi’s Cancer Aid Gala was an evening to remember with a blend of Lagos socialites, business big wigs, cancer survivors and the general public.
The programme includes a “Be Cancer Smart” Exhibition and Pinktail Hour, Survivor fashion show featuring Deola Sagoe, Ituen Basi, Iconic Invanity, Jewel By Lisa, Odio Mimonet & Temple Muse and a live auction.
The proceeds raised from the Gala will be used specifically to operate the recently setup cancer support groups, refurbish the breast cancer unit at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital and educate women on the importance of self examinations.
