SOUTH AFRICANS HAVE CHARM

I read an article written by Andrea Nagel on timeslive.co.za also disagreeing with the review of Michael Robert and Satorialist that South African Style lacks charm. Enjoy reading
It was very interesting to read Julee Wilson from the Huffington Post review Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa after the criticism from Michael Roberts. Seems she absolutely loved the experience. She also disagreed with what The Sartorialist had to say about SAs fashion event frequenters… that South African Style lacks charm… go to the link at the end of the post for the full article.
I’m more on Wilson’s side than Roberts’ or Schuman. I love seeing the way that people dress up to go to Fashion Week almost as much as I love the shows themselves. Yes, I know that a lot of people think that Fashion Weeks are frivolous and fluffy, but they are also full of spectacle and drama (in terms of dress). I find it really interesting to see how people express themselves in clothes. I find it charming, and South Africans are full of charm, despite what some may think.
Just to prove it I’m posting a few pictures of people seen at and around Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa, in Melrose Arch.
Kenyans too

Schuman defines people with the style he likes to photograph as: “People I’d like to go and have a beer with”. I’d happily go and have a beer with any one of the above people.
