VIVIENNE WESTWOOD PARTNER WITH BURKINA FASO DESIGNERS

Designers are always being inspired by faraway places. Vivienne Westwood works in them. Dame Viv is surely the first international designer to be working in Burkina Faso. Viv is a pioneer of the United Nation’s Ethical Fashion Initiative. On the runway over the weekend, we saw a weekend bag woven in the West African nation.
Designers working with the Ethical Fashion Initiative also include Australians sass & bide, who showed on Friday. In Paris we’re looking forward to emerging talent — D’anarchive is among the growing number of designers working directly with African artisans to make fashion not only fabulous, but fair.
