A
Tanzania designer Linda Bezuidenhout (LB Apparel) is set to participate
in a fairy tales, fashion and philanthropy; a fashion show and awards
ball in the US next month in a bid to raise money for equal educational
opportunities and to eliminate childhood hunger.
According
to a press statement, the event would brings
people together for mutual support, education and inspiration and help
raise awareness for equal educational opportunities.
Part
of the statement reads: “The proceeds from this event will go towards
buying much needed school supplies for disadvantage youth in the metro
Atlanta area. The school supplies will be handed out during a back to
school blast in August. LB Apparel will be sponsoring the Alice in
Wonderland theme with an LB designed theme inspired collection.”
The
LB Apparel has been involved in fashion industry for over 20 years, in
Africa, Europe and the USA. The LB line is influenced by a wide range of
world fashion, cultures and trends.
It
noted that the event is organized by Nancy Klausner, CEO/Director of
Higher Family Achievement; a non-profit corporation based in Atlanta,
Klausner also doubles as Mrs. Georgia US United 2012 has been advocating
for equal educational opportunities and to eliminate childhood hunger.
The show would also attract special guests including mayors, commissioners, and council members as well as the general public.
