LIBERIAN BORN FASHION DESIGNER KORTO MOMOLU RETURNS TO PROJECT RUNWAY

“Energetic, inspirational and confident,” words that describe fashion designer, Korto Momolu and her collections. The Project Runway finalist on both season five and All Stars season one returns to the competition on October 24, 2013 as one of the eleven designers on Project Runway All Stars season three.
Born in Monrovia, Liberia until 1990, Momolu moved to Canada to attend fashion school at L’Academies des Couturiers Design Institute in Ottawa, Ontario. She currently resides in Little Rock, Arkansas with her daughter and husband.
Most known for her outgoing personality and unique African culture inspired garments, Project Runway fans look forward to seeing what’s in store for Momolu this upcoming season. Her embrace of color, pattern and determination to never give up made her the “Fan Favorite” of season 5.
However, when she’s not on Project Runway, Momolu continues to expand her brand. One of her newest projects, her online store, will not only feature clothes, but also exclusive handmade jewelry as well. Pieces will continually be added to the online store as the seasons change, offering fans worldwide a great opportunity to bring home some of Momolu’s beautiful pieces.
From presenting her Fall and Spring collections to franchising her new online store, Momolu remains a successful entrepreneur in the fashion industry. She also partnered with Madera Exotic Woods to design The Saba Collection, a fashionable line of eco-friendly jewelry. She also recently revealed her Spring/Summer 2014 collection “Enchanted Fantasy” on September 8, 2013 during New York Fashion Week.
