FASHION GRADUATE GLORIA ADABLA
Gloria Pamela Adabla trained at Ho Polytechnic where she pursued a higher national diploma certificate in fashion, and in the University of Education, Kumasi, Ghana where she received a certificate in education. Her vision is to become an internationally known milliner. She look up to Rachel Trevor-Morgan, an award-winning hats and headpieces milliner and a particular favorite of the Queen of England and other Royal Family members. Already, Gloria has worked with Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson on a photo shoot for Ovation Magazine.
Upon receiving her degree from Radford University College, Gloria aims to continue working on her dream. For her collection, the characteristics of the waterfall were an inspiration, leading her to create interesting shapes with a strong eye for detail. FASHION GRADUATE AKOAH TSIBO-TAKYE
Suzy, Akoah became inclined towards art and design in high school. Continuing to pursue these interests led to her enrollment in Radford University College to pursue a degree in Fashion Design. Designers like Roberto Cavalli and Oscar de la Renta are favourites of hers, and she sees herself moving into fashion engineering – solving problems within the fashion design process to develop new ways of incorporating cutting edge tools and methods into creations. Suzy draws from her love of nature’s colours and shapes, specifically the colourful and undefined shapes found in plants. Her unique view is that the first humans on earth used parts of plants as covering, and this was the birth of fashion; plants conceal and reveal blossoms.
