TANZANIAN LABEL SHERIA NJOWI STEPPING UP THE GAME IN MENSWEAR DESIGNS

Former lawyer turned fashion designed, Sheria Ngowi, is one of the brightest stars in menswear. Named “The Tom Ford of Africa” by GQ Italy, the Tazanian-born creative is definitely putting Tanzania on the map.
With the opening of Ngowi’s flagship store in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania in 2013, his label, aptly named Sheria Ngowi, is setting new standards in a very competitive industry.
I first met Ngowi at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Africa 2013, where he showcased his SS14 collection that won over the entire audience and a very well-deserved standing ovation.
Ngowi’s creations are always classic and keep the “gentlemen” in menswear. With his signature fitted yet longer jacket length, inspired by a bygone era of the classy, dashing and debonair 1930s; a Sheria Ngowi suit is the epitome of timeless style.
