JOYCE ABABIO STATEMENT ON LATE KOFI ANSAH

A RARE GEM
When death occurs in a manner such as it has, when the sudden departure of friends and colleagues engulfs us, sometimes, we lack the strength to string together the right words to express our grief and sadness. Kofi Ansah was one of those rare gems in the Fashion Industry in Ghana. He contributed his bit with passion and finesse and created a brand of exceptional quality and style.

He was a true son of Ghana, staying true to his appreciation of all things African and exploring the boundaries of a craft he loved so much. His passing leaves us with a gaping hole, his shoes too big for many to fill, but his legacy, an example for the hundreds of young ones aspiring to become the next great designer.

As a man, he achieved a lot, as a fashion designer, he was one of the pace setters, paving the way through his creativity and passion. For those of us, who happened to know him and his craft, all we can say is a big thank you for the inspiration and the support. You will be dearly missed. On behalf of the Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design and on my own behalf, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends and wish them well. In spite of all the difficulties and challenges now, we are comforted by a life well lived and a legacy well defined.
