NIGERIAN DESIGNER EMMY COLLINS RELEASES S/S 2014 COLLECTION "TIMELESS"

Nigerian Designer Emmy Collins has unveiled his latest collection – “Timeless“.

We haven’t seen a collection from him in a while but at his Style Weekend event in Lagos, the brand showcased its Spring/Summer 2014 collection to its attending audience. The collection is filled with staple pieces including shirts with asymmetrical cuts and gingham prints, polka dotted ties and other separates.

According to Emmy, “Whenever I venture into designing any garment, what stays paramount in my mind besides quality, cut, fabric and originality/innovation of the design is that purchasing a fashion item is and should be an investment that should stand the test of time”. He went on to say, “I wouldn’t design a garment that a client would invest a king’s ransom on and then discard only a few months after simply because it has gone out of trend”.

Well, we like the collection and are definitely in support of buying pieces that transcend trends.
