SECOND AFRICAN FASHION SHOW SET TO HOLD IN GENEVA


The second edition of African Fashion Show will hold in Geneva, Switzerland this year.
The event is being packaged by Crucible Events Company, a leading event management company.
This year’s edition is scheduled to hold on May 30 and 31 at the prestigious Des Penthes in Geneva, Switzerland.
The annual fashion show this year aims to show case and celebrate Africa’s diverse fashion talents and cultural heritage from parts of the African continent.
This will include Cy’Mun Cynthia Mwangeri from Burundi, Manye Styles-Cifty Kpentey from Ghana, Pointe Du Caftan, Samira El Mahmodi from Morrocco, Morenikeji Fatai Agoro from Nigeria, Baldon Clothiers, Adedoyin Balogun from Nigeria, Malleni Designs and Peace Malleni from Uganda.
Tayo Omotola, the Chief Executive Officer of Crucible Events, said: “We aim to make this edition another resounding success, which will celebrate African culture, heritage and fashion.
“We will try and make this edition a huge success, counting on the success of the first edition.”
The event will commence with an exclusive runway fashion show and a gala night, which will feature live performances by Nigerian rap and hip hop acts, Babatunde, and US-based Grammy Award nominated singer, songwriter, producer and MC, Mainouna Mumu Fresh Youssef.
The event will also play host to distinguished guests from Switzerland, the diplomatic and United Nations communities.
Those expected include Michael Moller, the Acting Director General of the United Nations office in Geneva; Anja Loetscher, the Director of Geneva Convention Visitors Bureau; as well as African Ambassadors in Geneva and leading names in Swiss business, media and fashion.
