Yes! we are so excited to update you about the most anticipated fashion event to hit Ghana on September 6, 2014.
The public voting for the nominees was closed end of last month and it seems that the teams are really working hard to deliver the best of event as promised.
In a press release by the organizers this morning, Fashion Icon Awards in now teaming up with UNAIDS to support spreed the awareness on HIV/AIDS diseases through the agency "Ghana Protect the Goal Campaign". Organizers of Fashion Icon Awards announced partnership with UNAIDS,
to create articulate awareness for "Ghana Protect the goal Campaign"
to stakeholders in the fashion industry.
The partnership will enable FIA organizers to support communicate
effective, relevant and timely information, packaged in short, clear and easy
to understand messages to the stakeholders to apply safe sex and protect from
new HIV infection.

The Ghana Protect the Goal Campaign, driven by the ‘practice safe
sex’ strategy has three key evidence based messages which are:
• Use Condom
• Know Your HIV Status
• Reduce Sexual Partners
FIA will be working in collaboration with UNAIDS to also collect a
PLEDGE from the stakeholders in order to accelerate UNAIDS' vision for Zero New
HIV Infections, Zero AIDS Related Deaths, and Zero Discrimination.
Fashion Icon Awards is a platform designed
to encourage, recognize and reward designers and fashion business successes
based in Ghana, who has contributed/invested in the local fashion industry,
creating sustainable economies through building of a rich resource base and
capacity utilization through viable strategic partnerships.
The anticipated event would be held in September
6, 2014 at LaPalm Royal Beach, Hotel, Accra.
