REVIEW OF TRISH O COUTURE'S THE ‘LOVE EDIT’ COLLECTION

Richard AKuson, Fashion Editor at BellaNaija.com review Trish O Couture's the 'Love Edit' collection.
see below for the review...
Inspired by love, the collection at its best had really vibrant and flirty elements which can broadly be tied into the designer’s vision. However, critically speaking, there was;
1. a lack of cohesion in fabrication and the fluidity that could have unified the different fabrics used,
2. and fit appears to be a challenge as the pants on the models either have flagrant (for a lack of a better word) drop crutch areas or just did not fit.
Generally speaking, seeing the suffix couture at the end of any brand name just brings a rush of unattainable expectations of authentic and original innovation, complexity of thought, impeccable craftsmanship and a certain kind of creativity that you can’t just conceptualize but absolutely know it when you see it, and to hold this collection to that high standard would be unkind to the brand, bearing in mind that they might not have had even the littlest of it in mind while designing the collection.
But for the other things that naturally should have crossed their minds, such as silhouettes (which all look regrettably widespread but in different fabrics in this case), cuts, fabrication, aesthetic and over all execution—the designer could have done better, a lot better!
