OBJECTS OF BEAUTY FAIR TO HOLD NEXT MONTH

IN order to avail people the opportunity to do early shopping for the Christmas festivities, the Objects of Beauty Fair 2012, a one-of-its-kind lifestyle fair, will take place next month to offer shoppers a wide variety of products to buy at reasonable prices.
Organised by renowned designer Nikki Khiran with some partners, the fair, which is designed mainly for creative people “is a mixture of wellness, beauty, interiors, lifestyle and fashion products and services,” says Nikki.
Shedding more light on the upcoming fair, she told The Guardian that “the whole idea is to also promote the emerging brands, that is, young designers, who probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity to showcase their products and also meet certain kinds of clientele who need their products. The idea is to expose them and their talents.”
With the theme dubbed: “Showcasing the Best of African Creativity,” Nikki said the fair is basically an avenue to highlight African creativity and our major focus is to highlight emerging brands with a lot of talents but are not well known. We want to take them to the next level for them to be recognized.”
Some participants at the fair will include Nike Arts Gallery, Gracious Gems, House of Dorcas, Baths and Beddings and a host of others.
Objects of beauty would become the biggest fashion and lifestyle event in Nigeria with reputable national and international partners in collaboration. It is a huge platform for manufacturers of garments, fabrics, hair and beauty, interior décor, arts and crafts products to exhibit the best of African creativity.
The pre-Christmas lifestyle fair which will hold at the prestigious Protea Westwood on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi on November 17 and 18 will end with a fashion show on Sunday which Nike says is strictly by invitation.
