FASHION DESIGNERS ASSOCIATION OF THE GAMBIA DONATES D100,000 TO HOSPITAL

It is good to be generous and having the development of national at heart its a good cause to pursue. The Association of Fashion Designers of The Gambia presented a cheque of D100,000(Approximately $3,000) as their contribution for the procurement of 1000 beds for Serekunda Hospital.

The cheque was presented to the vice president and minister of Women’s Affairs, Aja Dr. Isatou Njie-Saidy on Tuesday, at her office in State House.

Receiving the cheque from Ida Saine-Kinteh, the vice president of the association, VP Njie-Saidy commended the members of the association for the gesture, saying it will go a long way in complementing President Jammeh's target for the development of the health sector.

Ida Saine-Knteh, the vice president of the association, said they have recognised President Jammeh's hard work and dedication towards the development of the country particularly the health sector, saying this was why they have decided to also make their contribution. She added that the donated amount was meant to show their solidarity with the president and to reassure him of their continuous support and loyalty at all times in development endeavours.
